One of the best and most versatile Bible programs I have ever used, not to mention one of the most affordable. The shareware version is awesome, but the registered CD version has so many extra study aides, it more than pays for itself. My favorite feature is the ability to create your own book and note sets that you can view simultaneously with the included book and note sets. Highly recommended. |
Bible.org - Official site of the NET Bible (New English Translation). A very trustworthy, readable translation of God's Word. It is FREE to download and includes over 65,000 translators notes to explain the decisions behind the renderings of every verse and phrase. It also includes several good resources for pastors and ministry workers. Any serious Bible student should explore this site thoroughly.
Childcare Action Project - Aimed at helping parents make informed decisions about what theatrical movies their children watch, this site lists comprehensive, detailed information about the content of the latest movies. Much better than the MPAA's rating information, this is the place to look to find out exactly what kind of language and sexual content a movie contains, and the frequency of each. Appropriate Bible verses are listed, too. Funding for the site has been limited, so some movies may not get reviewed.
